Last night was a great example of what happens when an audience is out to have fun. We performed the mystery show, "Marriage Can Be Murder" to an audience of 86 at Marco's Restaurant in Lewiston...in a room designed for 80!
Folks were there to have a good time including a group from Central Maine Medical Center and a group from L.L.Bean. By this, I mean that no matter what came their way, they were set to enjoy themselves.
A great example is the arrival of 8 additional guests that arrived at the show though they weren't on the master reservation list. So, what do you do? Seat them, of course, and welcome them to the joy of murder mystery dinner theatre. After moving a few tables and guests and bringing in additional place settings, we fit in the additional guests and started the show ....only 5 minutes late. Thanks to all the guests who were very cooperative in helping us adjust the seating.
Good lesson here..... if you are planning an event and your group is set to have a good time, they will have a good time, no matter what.
